Physical Health
Generally when people speak of health, they are talking about physical health unless they specify otherwise. Physical health is so important to a person because the state of their physical health affects all aspects of their life. Without physical health, nothing else is very important. If your physical health is bad, you wont’ feel much like having a social life or family life. If your physical health is bad you may not be able to work and that could add to your troubles. If your physical health is bad, you may even neglect your spiritual life and who knows what kind of problems that could bring you. Physical health is all important.
There are many things you can do to protect and improve your physical health. But the first thing you should do is see your doctor for a complete physical check up, then once she has checked you out thoroughly and pronounced you to be in good physical health, you can begin to do some things that will improve your physical health. Physical health is a matter of eating right (which includes drinking plenty of water) and exercising regularly. If you do these two simple basic things, you will have good physical health. But what do they mean, really?
Well, eating right means eating the correct foods in the proper proportions and drinking plenty of good fresh plain pure water everyday. But what are the correct foods? Well, the correct foods are ideally fresh, whole fruits and grains with very little meat, all organic if you can afford it. The correct food category also includes water, pure fresh plain water. Other drinks don’t count. You must drink at least eighty ounces of water a day, (of course, taking into account you age, size and amount of your physical activity and the weather), not juice and certainly not soda pop of coffee. If you want your physical health to be good, you must drink plenty of water every day. And drinking plenty of water every day will also have the added benefit of helping you avoid overeating as your stomach will not be empty and craving food.
Not overeating is a big part of eating right for good physical health. If you have a problem with overeating, you could seek professional help from a psychologist, hypnotherapist or nutritionist. You could also join one of the many overeaters support groups which could be a real boost to your avoiding overeating.
Regular daily exercise is also very important to your physical health. Once your doctor has cleared you for exercise, you can begin a regime of physical exercise. Choose the type of exercise that best suits your needs. Make it one you enjoy doing so you will be motivated to do it regularly as this is important to good physical health. Keep your exercise varied and enjoyable and you will stick with it and it will help you maintain good physical health.
